TREC scientists around the country are working together to answer complex questions about obesity and cancer. The NCI TREC initiative supports four TREC research centers and one TREC coordinating center. This collaboration across multiple institutions and multiple disciplines encompasses projects that cover the biology, genomics and genetics of energy balance to behavioral, socio-cultural and environmental influences upon nutrition, physical activity, weight, energetics and cancer risk.
